Benjamin and I have been realizing lately that we share very little about our lives here on this blog! If I asked each of you to list as many facts about us as you could, you would probably be able to name one or two… (You would hopefully at least be able to get our names since they are over on the sidebar!)
So that is something we want to work on. We really want our focus here to be about how the Bible applies to every single aspect of everyone’s lives, even in the modern day and even our particularly humdrum ones. So whether we are failing or letting God lead, we want to share more of that with you.
How that will look, we still have no idea, but we would love to hear any suggestions from you! First step: Check out our updated “About Us” page in a week or so!
Another change that is happening around here comes from the fact that so many posts that we work on and that we pray are still challenging to us and to you get buried about 300 feet deep after a couple of weeks, never again to see the light of day. To help remedy that, we introduce… A Once a Month Roundup! The first Friday of every month, we’ll make a list of some of our older posts for you to peruse as you will.
So this month, we’re mashing those two ideas into one! Here are 4 posts we have written specifically about what God has been doing in our lives at some point or another. Maybe some of our situations will match what you are walking through right now.
After a crazy day in a crazy week with a crazy schedule coming next, I started wondering what God had to say about all of our busyness. Is the work good or is the busyness bad?
After a disastrous day in which nothing had gone according to plan, God reminded me of the real significance of my checklist.
3. How to Stop Comparisons in… Ministry?
As a blogger, I really struggle with comparing my writing, pictures, stats, and success with other bloggers that look more successful. Even though I think of this as a kind of ministry, I still drift into a self-centered envy… Here are the thoughts that God really laid on my heart in one of the hardest times.
4. 6 Biblical Truths Learned From Babies
Want to see some pictures of our adorable nieces? And then, even better, be reminded of some actual solid truths we can learn from them? This one doesn’t quite fit with the others, but it does give you a little glimpse into our lives. Plus, it’s just fun.
